Abstract

The larvae of the 21 species, comprising five genera of ixodid ticks, that occur in the Eastern United States were studied. Detailed descriptions, illustrations, keys to genera and species and information on geographical distribution and host are given. In addition, Ixodes bishoppi Smith and Gouck, 1947, is reduced to a synonym of I. minor Neumann, 1902.
