The species of the impexus-group within the subgenus Scymnus (Pullus) Mulsant occurring in China are revised. Seventy-nine species are treated in this paper, among those 54 are described as new to science: Scymnus (Pullus) cuspidiger, S. (P.) sphenophyllus, S. (P.) yarangicus, S. (P.) pailongensis, S. (P.) multisetosus, S. (P.) dongjiuensis, S. (P.) yanlingicus, S. (P.) xujiabensis, S. (P.) mengshanus, S. (P.) liupanshanus, S. (P.) prolatus, S. (P.) spirellus, S. (P.) corallinus, S. (P.) pingbianensis, S. (P.) conoidalis, S. (P.) erythrinus, S. (P.) igneus, S. (P.) apophysatus, S. (P.) rufostriatus, S. (P.) lebuensis, S. (P.) seminiger, S. (P.) eminulus, S. (P.) quadratimaculatus, S. (P.) longicuspis, S. (P.) chelyospilicus, S. (P.) oculoformis, S. (P.) acerosus, S. (P.) dimidius, S. (P.) paraccamptus, S. (P.) paraexilis, S. (P.) yarlungzangbo, S. (P.) chayuensis, S. (P.) dipetalus, S. (P.) ensatus, S. (P.) leptophyllus, S. (P.) nielamuensis, S. (P.) ventricosus, S. (P.) rhinoides, S. (P.) maoershanensis, S. (P.) cibagouensis, S. (P.) hanmianus, S. (P.) ciliosus, S. (P.) motuoensis, S. (P.) truncatus, S. (P.) linzhianus, spp. nov. Four species, S. (P.) martensi Canepari, 1997, S. (P.) janetscheki Bielawski, 1971, S. (P.) longisiphonatus Hoàng, 1982 and S. (P.) fruticis Canepari, 1997, are recorded from China for the first time. Keys, diagnoses, detailed descrip tions, illustrations and distributions are provided for each species.

A catalogue of all known species of the family Biphyllidae is presented. All described extant and fossil species have been included, with synonyms, taxonomic notes, bionomy and distribution. Two new synonyms are proposed: Diphyllus lunatus var. inornatus Reitter, 1888 syn. nov. of Dermestes lunata Fabricius, 1787, and Thallestus typhaeoides var. obscuricollis Wollaston, 1865 syn. nov. of Thallestus typhaeoides Wollaston, 1862. Twenty three new combinations are proposed: Biphyllus alluaudi (Grouvelle, 1906), B. bolivari (Grouvelle, 1905), B. brunnescens (Reitter, 1877), B. canaliculatus (Grouvelle, 1906), B. concolor (Grouvelle, 1906), B. convexus (Reitter, 1878), B. dohrni (Reitter, 1877), B. escalerae (Grouvelle, 1905), B. histrio (Grouvelle, 1906), B. liliputanus (Reitter, 1877), B. maculatus (Grouvelle, 1906), B. madagascariensis (Fairmaire, 1898), B. magnus (Grouvelle, 1906), B. minimus (Grouvelle, 1905), B. obscurus (Reitter, 1877), B. parvulus (Grouvelle, 1906), B. sicardi (Grouvelle, 1906), B. sordidus (Grouvelle, 1906), B. subfasciatus (Reitter, 1878), B. undulatus (Grouvelle, 1906), B. v-notatus (Grouvelle, 1906), B. variegatus (Grouvelle, 1906), and B. wollastoni (Reitter, 1878). All above-mentioned species are being transferred from Diphyllus Berthold, 1827, which is an unjustified emendation of the name Biphyllus. Type species for three genera are designated: Anobocoelus championi Sharp, 1902 for Anobocoelus Sharp, 1902; Gonicoelus unicornis Sharp, 1900: 605 for Gonicoelus Sharp, 1900: 604; and Euderopus regularis Sharp, 1900 for Euderopus Sharp, 1900.

Based on a study of holotype, Chrysomela javanica Thunberg, 1787 was proved to be a representative of the genus Tetraphyllus Castelnau & Brullé, 1831 and is therefore transferred from Chrysomelidae to Tenebrionidae. New combination Tetraphyllus javanicus (Thunberg, 1787) (comb. nov.) is proposed. Tetraphyllus javanicus is redescribed and compared with its closest relative T. iridescens Ando, 1991. Colour photos of habitus of the type specimens of both taxa are presented. The checklist for all known species of the genus Tetraphyllus along with their known distribution is given.

Hangaya gen. nov. is proposed to receive H. enigmatica sp. nov. from the south of the Northern Territory, Australia. The new taxon is compared with other known groups and is found to agree with the characteristics of the subfamily Tenebrioninae, but not to agree completely with those of any known tribe in that subfamily.

Drilus rittneri sp. nov. is described from Israel and compared with its congeners from the Levant: Drilus adustus (Chevrolat, 1854), D. akbesianus (Fairmaire, 1895), D. bicolor Schaufuss, 1867, D. nemethi Kundrata, Kobieluszova & Bocak, 2014, D. rectus Schaufuss, 1867, and D. rufipes (Baudi di Selve, 1871). Data on the intraspecific variability and new distributional records for D. bicolor, D. rectus and D. rufipes are given. Drilus bicolor is recorded from Israel for the first time. An updated key to males of Drilus of the Levant is provided.

A morphological study of six little known or undescribed species of chewing lice parasitic on cowbirds (Icteridae) is given, based on a holistic approach which includes descriptions of the pre-imaginal stages. Both sexes, the last two nymphal stages and eggs of the new species Myrsidea amblyramphidis (Amblycera: Menoponidae) are described and illustrated (type host: Amblyramphus holosericeus (Scopoli)). Also, the male with all pre-imaginal stages (including hatching organ of nymph, egg and the three nymphal stages) of Menacanthus leistidis Cicchino, 1984 from Leistes superciliaris (Bonaparte) is described for the first time and the female is redescribed; a discussion of the morphological affinities with its closest species, M. sturnellae Price, 1977 is included. Among the Ischnocera (Philopteridae s.l.), both sexes and the last pre-imaginal stages of two incompletely known species of Brueelia Kéler, 1936, B. mirabile Carriker, 1963 from Molothrus o. oryzivorus (Gmelin), and B. oxypyga (Giebel, 1874) from A. holosericeus are described. Furthermore, two new species of Brueelia, B. chopi from Gnorimopsar chopi (Vieillot), and B. paradoxa from Leistes superciliaris are described from both sexes and their last two pre-imaginal stages, and eggs.
