This study is based on the salticids collected by Åke Holm in Kenya. Two new genera, Kakamega gen. nov. and Ragatinus gen. nov. are erected, and descriptions of 11 new species are given: Brancus signatus sp. nov., Habrocestum naivasha sp. nov., Heliophanus minor sp. nov., Kakamega holmi sp. nov., Langelurillus kenyaensis sp. nov., Pellenes obvolutus sp. nov., Phintella kaptega sp. nov., Plexippus fibulatus sp. nov., Ragatinus maddisoni sp. nov., Thiratoscirtus elgonensis sp. nov. and Thiratoscirtus minimus sp. nov. One new combination is proposed, Hasarinella roeweri (Lessert, 1925) comb. nov. (ex Hasarius). The female of H. roeweri comb. nov. and male of Phintella lucida Wesołowska et Tomasiewicz, 2008 are described for the first time. Twenty eight species are recorded in Kenya for the first time. The role of Mount Elgon as a biodiversity hotspot is discussed; 11 species of jumping spiders are possibly endemic to this mountain massif.
