Abstract

Streptocara crassicauda longispiculata Gibson 1968 (Nematoda: Acuariidae) is redescribed and raised to a full species, Streptocara longispiculata Gibson, 1968, on the basis of material from the common loon, Gavia immer, from Florida, U.S.A., and the red-throated loon, Gavia stellata, from Canada.
