Abstract

Larval and winged stages of Paraleptophlebia werneri Ulmer, 1919 were found in Andreevskaya Cave and Verkhnyaya Shakuranskaya Cave (W Caucasus, Abkhazia). No considerable differences in chaetotaxy, coloration and body size of larval and winged stages from these caves and epigean water bodies were noted. Mayfly potential for cave colonization is discussed.
