Abstract

Here we report on the first record of Vidalia accola (Hardy, 1973) (Diptera: Tephritidae) from Kashmir in northwestern India. The presence of adults was documented in a cherry (Prunus avium L.) (Rosales: Rosaceae) orchard of the experimental farm of the Sher-e-Kashmir University of Agricultural Sciences and Technology of Kashmir, Shalimar campus, but the host plant is unknown. An updated key to species of Vidalia Robineau-Desvoidy is included.
