This study explores the classification of environmental crisis in order to improve the policy maker, public's environmental literacy, boost to the individuals' perception of complex scientific information on coastal crisis in the case of Chinese coastal problems. It investigates how to classify the environmental crisis on the dimension of crisis source, crisis form, crisis information diffusion, crisis assessment, crisis response. An ANP method was conducted to collect interviews data to evaluate the coastal crisis.
