Abstract

Li, B.J., 2020. Export effect of trade facilitation in Asian “Belt and Road” coastal countries on China's cross-border e-commerce. In: Guido Aldana, P.A. and Kantamaneni, K. (eds.), Advances in Water Resources, Coastal Management, and Marine Science Technology. Journal of Coastal Research, Special Issue No. 104, pp. 628–632. Coconut Creek (Florida), ISSN 0749-0208.

As the “Belt and Road” initiative was put forward, the volume of trading economy in countries along the routes has increased significantly, among which Asian countries have gained the highest trade activity. Thus it is of great import to examine the level of trade facilitation for Asian countries along the routes, so as to prop up the industry of cross-border e-commerce (CBEC) in China. This paper selects four first-grade indexes of infrastructure, rules and regulations, customs environment and e-commerce, and then further refining them into 12 second-grade indexes for establishing a trade facilitation evaluation system; by adopting the panel data within ten years from 2009 to 2018, and in the meantime, based on the extended gravity model, the paper verifies that trade facilitation produces an obvious positive effect on China's CBEC export.
