Abstract

Cao, W.-J. and Wang, H.-Z., 2020. Reservoir configuration and characterization in the development of offshore oil and gas reservoirs. In: Qiu, Y.; Zhu, H., and Fang, X. (eds.), Current Advancements in Marine and Coastal Research for Technological and Sociological Applications. Journal of Coastal Research, Special Issue No. 107, pp. 173-176. Coconut Creek (Florida), ISSN 0749-0208.

With the development of the degree of improvement, the development of most of the main oil fields in the eastern sea of China has entered the later stage of development. Marine oil and gas reservoir configuration, directly affect the reservoir development effect, how to carry out detailed configuration representation is related to whether the correct quantitative development index, or can correctly describe the residual oil distribution. Traditional reservoir geology research methods can no longer meet the development needs of oil fields at present. Therefore, the combination of geology and geophysics to form “reservoir configuration” is a key factor to correctly describe the distribution of remaining oil and effectively reduce the number of inefficient Wells. It is also a development trend of fine reservoir configuration research.
