To solve the problems associated with traditional plugging methods for various kinds of through-wall pipelines in coastal defense engineering, three plugging schemes were designed and prepared. The antiexplosion test and theoretical analysis were carried out for the plugging device with the lowest resistance, and further analysis is carried out by numerical simulation. The results show that the plugging scheme can endure a nuclear blast load with a peak value of 0.15 MPa. The maximum vertical displacement of the plugging device was only 0.07 mm under loading and can be restored to its initial position eventually. The friction coefficient between the casing and rubber and the pretightening force of the bolt are the main factors affecting the resistance of plugging devices. The research results can provide a reference for the plugging design of the through-wall pipelines in applications like coastal defense engineering.
