Abstract

Chen, J.; Gong, H., and Guo, Y., 2019. The relationship between international shipping market environment and price change in scale-free network. In: Guido-Aldana, P.A. and Mulahasan, S. (eds.), Advances in Water Resources and Exploration. Journal of Coastal Research, Special Issue No. 93, pp. 889–894. Coconut Creek (Florida), ISSN 0749-0208.

This paper focuses on the price surge of international shipping in a short time in competitive markets. In order to study the mechanism of price collusion among competitors, we have built the model of pricing behavior selection and update standards of two pricing strategies in complex network. Then, using MATLAB to model for simulating the neighbor-based income difference in scale-free network. Thus, the evolution of price collusion under different behavior updated strategies can be analyzed. The results prove that the spontaneous price collusion of international shipping can be realized in competitive markets.
