The unification of object identifiers improves information sharing among cooperative enterprises, which is helpful in allocating logistical resources. Therefore, logistics-resource optimized allocation, based on an object-identifier-unified degree (OIUD), is proposed and analyzed toward improving logistics-resource allocation schemes. An optimization model was developed that selects total logistics cost, total service time, and logistics-resource use as its objective functions, and the OIUD was chosen as the influence parameter for the model. A genetic algorithm based on technique for order preference by similarity to ideal solution (TOPSIS) was adopted to solve the model. Moreover, ocean transportation data from WDQ, Inc., is used to verify the effectiveness of the model and the role of OIUD. Numerical analysis results indicate that the model established can provide a superior logistics-resource allocation scheme for WDQ. The optimization schemes under different OIUDs are compared. The results reveal that the higher the OIUD level, the better the logistics-resource allocation becomes.
