Abstract

A new species of andrenid bee (Hymenoptera: Andrenidae), Andrena (Callandrena) jazleya Pohl and Larkin, n. sp., is described from southwestern Mexico. The species is closely related to A. brooksi Larkin and A. reflexa Cresson, but can be easily distinguished from these and all other known species of Callandrena by the distinctive, black coloration.
