The effect of the sexual confusion pheromone on the abundance, diversity, and percentage of parasitism of larvae of fall armyworm in maize was determined. From three collections of 100 fall armyworm larvae of different instars from fields treated and not treated with sexual confusion pheromones, Cotesia marginiventris Cresson, Meteorus laphygmae Viereck, Chelonus sonorensis Cameron, Chelonus insularis Cresson, Pristomerus spinator F. Lespesia sp., and Campoletis sp. were obtained from both treatments. Lespesia sp. and Campoletis sp. were found only in the pheromone treatment. Parasitism in the pheromone-treated field (19.7%), was not different from the control field (17%). Campoletis sp. was reported for the first time at Sinaloa, Mexico.
