Abstract

Mesquite (Prosopis spp.) and related fabaceous trees in southern New Mexico and Arizona, USA were surveyed from May 2021 to August 2022. Several rarely reported insect species, two new state records for New Mexico, new host records, and evidence of range expansions were found during the surveys. Repeated surveys throughout the year might provide a more comprehensive record of use of host plants by arthropods, even on well-surveyed trees.
