Abstract

A new species of the genus Hoplocheylus Atyeo and Baker (Acariformes: Heterostigmata: Tarsocheylidae), H. zanzibariensis sp. nov., is described from the forest litter in Zanzibar, Tanzania. A key to species of the genus Hoplocheylus is provided.
