Abstract

One new genus and two new species of eriophyoid mites from South China are described and illustrated: Epicecidophyes cinnamomi sp. nov. infesting Cinnamomum camphora (L.) J. Presl (Lauraceae) belongs to the subfamily Cecidophyinae and Fairina dimocarpi gen. nov. & sp. nov. infesting Dimocarpus longan Lour. (Sapindaceae) belongs to the subfamily Phyllocoptinae. Both new species are vagrants causing no apparent damage to their host plants.
