30 April 2020 Notice of New Applications to the Commission (Case 3818–3820)

The following 3 new applications have been received since the last Notice of New Applications was published in the Bulletin (volume 76: 166, 20 December 2019). Under Article 82 of the Code, the prevailing usage of names in the applications is to be maintained until the Commission's rulings on the applications (as Opinions) have been published.

Case 3818: Mecynostomatidae Kukalová, 1969 (Insecta, Paleodictyoptera): proposed conservation of the family-group name by suppression of Mecynostomatidae Lameere, 1917. Dmitry A. Dmitriev.

Case 3819: Euchromiini Léger et al., 2019 (Insecta, Lepidoptera, Crambidae) and Euchromiinae Butler, 1876 (Insecta, Lepidoptera, Erebidae): proposed resolution of homonymy by emending the former to Euchromiusini. Bernard Landry, Théo Léger and Matthias Nuss.

Case 3820: Hemiarthrinae Markham, 1972 (Arthropoda, Malacostraca) and Hemiarthridae Sirenko, 1997 (Mollusca, Polyplacophora): proposed resolution of homonymy between family-group names. Enrico Schwabe.
