The following eight new applications have been received since the last Notice of New Applications was published in the Bulletin (volume 78: 166, 30 December 2021). Under Article 82 of the Code, the prevailing usage of names in the applications is to be maintained until the Commission's rulings on the applications (as Opinions) have been published.
Case 3863: Oribata nitens Nicolet, 1855 (currently Achipteria nitens; Acari, Achipteriidae): proposed conservation as a junior primary homonym of Oribata nitens Gervais, 1844 (currently Liacarus nitens, Acari, Liacaridae). R.B. Halliday and R.A. Norton.
