Abstract

Templar incongruens new genus and species (Monoscutidae) is described and assigned to the subfamily Monoscutinae (Opiliones). It is distinguished from other Monoscutinae by different ornamentation, relatively shorter legs, and enlarged chelicerae in the male. A redescription of Monoscutum titirangiense Forster 1948 is also given.
