Abstract

The 2023 checklist for Pennsylvania bryophytes lists 421 moss and 119 liverwort taxa reported from the 67 counties in the Commonwealth, but only 75 mosses and 13 liverworts from Mifflin County. As a result of the field survey reported herein and review of relevant herbaria data, an additional 28 confirmed moss and four liverwort taxa are reported from Mifflin County. Currently, a total of 103 moss and 17 hepatic taxa are reported from Mifflin County, Pennsylvania. Taxa are assigned global and state conservation ranks according to NatureServe guidelines.
