The combination of traditional residential decoration and environmental art design is difficult in how to endow its new meaning through modern design concept and express it in some innovative ways. This paper analyzes the application research of traditional dwelling decoration in environmental art design, analyzing the contents and characteristics of traditional dwelling decoration, and elaborates the application principle of traditional dwelling decoration in environmental art design with the requirement of environmental art design. And based on this, it analyzes the application of traditional residential decoration in environmental art design, and describes the application effect and application strategy in combination with the actual situation to promote the popular application of traditional residential decoration in environmental art design.
