Abstract

Phytosciara greylockensis, new species (Sciaridae), is described from Mt. Greylock in western Massachusetts, USA. Larvae are initially leafminers on Clintonia borealis (Aiton) Raf. (Liliaceae), later feeding on leaves externally. DNA barcodes of the new and most other Phytosciara species are presented.
