Abstract

The moss genus Sciuro-hypnum (Hampe) Hampe is revised for the Mediterranean area. A key to the species of the Mediterranean area and Europe, descriptions, illustrations and distribution data for the nine species recognized are provided. New records for countries of the study area are reported.
