The purpose of this application, under Article 80.4 of the Code, is to request the emendation of two entries in the Official List of Generic Names in Zoology: that for the genus Otiorhynchus Germar, currently stated to be dated 1824 with type species Curculio clavipes Bonsdorff, 1785, while it is known to have been proposed by Germar in 1822, with type species Curculio rhacusensis Germar, 1822 by monotypy; and that for the genus Loborhynchus Schoenherr, 1823, which should be Loborhynchus Dejean, 1821.
