Based on the examination of recently available holotypes, the status of the following species of Erodiscini (Coleoptera: Curculionidae: Curculioninae) described in the genus Erodiscus Schoenherr, 1825 by the late Elbert L. Sleeper are each resolved. Erodiscus hamburgi is valid as Sicoderus hamburgi (); Erodiscus marshalli is a junior subjective synonym of Sicoderus granatensis (), new synonymy; Erodiscus panamensis is valid as Sicoderus panamensis (), new combination; and Erodiscus sharpi is valid as Pimelerodius sharpi (). Some comments about deposition of holotypes in personal collections are included.
