A checklist of 195 lichens and lichenicolous and related fungi collected in south-central Alabama during the 2007 Blomquist Foray is presented. A total of 36 taxa are reported as new to the state.

The lichen flora of the Charlie Elliott Wildlife Center in the Georgia Piedmont was explored during successive Liking Lichens Teacher Workshops in July 2006 and 2007. Habitats surveyed include mesic mixed hardwood forest, Oak-Hickory forest and granitic flatrock. A checklist of 146 species in 64 genera from this workshop is presented. This report represents only the second lichen checklist from Georgia, USA, and is one of the first field-based checklists for the Piedmont physiographic province of eastern North America.

Lophocolea fragrans (Moris & De Not.) Gottsche et al. is newly recorded from Eastern Himalaya and added to Indian bryoflora. It was growing on soil and soil-covered rocks near water stream in moist and shaded conditions.

A bryological inventory of four natural areas in northeastern and southern Rhode Island documented the presence of 97 mosses (including 13 peat mosses) and 21 liverworts. While no modern checklist of Rhode Island bryophytes exists, the list of the species found is a starting point for further exploration and documentation of the bryoflora of this New England State.
