This paper deals with the small genus BellamyinaBílý, 1994. The original type species for the genus, Bellamyina cylindricaBílý, 1994stat. reinstat., which was regarded as a synonym of Polyctesis hunanensisPeng, 1992, is restored to a separate valid species. Another species belonging to this genus is newly described and illustrated from China: Bellamyina longheensissp. nov.
A new species of PeriergatesLacordaire, 1872 (Coleoptera: Cerambycidae: Lamiinae: Onciderini) from Costa Rica is described: Periergates kenjii Nearns & Swift, sp. nov. All life stages (egg, larva, pupa, and adult) are described and illustrated. Girdling behavior in Periergates is reported for the first time. Eight host plants are recorded for the new species: Cojoba costaricensis Britton & Rose (Fabaceae), Quercus cortesii Liebm. (Fagaceae), Q. insignis M. Martens & Galeotti, Alfaroa williamsii Ant. Molina (Juglandaceae), Cinnamomum tonduzii (Mez) Kosterm. (Lauraceae), Persea sp. (Lauraceae), Psidium guajava L. (Myrtaceae), and Ardisia costaricensis Lundell (Primulaceae). Periergates chiriquensisBates, 1885 is excluded from the Costa Rica fauna, and a key to the known species of Periergates is provided.
The stilt bugs (Hemiptera: Heteroptera: Berytidae) of Guatemala are reviewed. Previously, seven species were recorded from the country. Three species are recorded as new to Guatemala: Oedalocanthus ornatusHenry, 1996; Pronotacantha concolorHenry, 1997; and Metacanthus multispinus (Ashmead, 1887). Four additional species have not been recorded from Guatemala but have ranges that make their occurrence likely. Label data is presented for all examined specimens.
A new whitefly, Dialeurodes andamanensis sp. nov., is described from the Andaman Islands, India. Puparia of the new species were found infesting leaves of Strychnos wallichiana Steud. ex A. DC. (Gentianales: Loganiaceae) in Ferargunj, Andaman Islands. A map showing the type collection locality, line drawings, and images of the type specimens are also provided, and the differences in its dimorphic forms are documented.
One new genus and three new species are described from Ecuador: Contractus setosus, gen. nov., sp. nov.; Contractus bicolor gen. nov., sp. nov.; and Rhopalophora rufipennis sp. nov. The new genus is included in a previous key of American Rhopalophorini. A key to South American species of Rhopalophora is provided. The shape of the scape of Rhopalophora pulverulenta Guérin-Méneville, 1844 and R. neivai Mendes, 1940 is discussed.

In this study, molecular and morphological analysis of Palmicultor Williams, 1963 (Hemiptera: Coccomorpha: Pseudococcidae) mealybugs, intercepted on plant material entering California and collected in Florida, provides evidence for the existence of a cryptic species under the taxon currently known as P. palmarum (Ehrhorn, 1916). A characterization and analysis based on three molecular markers (mitochondrial COI 5′ end and COI 3′ end regions and nuclear rRNA 18S) for all four described species and the putative cryptic species is presented. Morphological characters used to diagnose species of Palmicultor are evaluated, and an updated identification key to adult females is presented. The history of interceptions of invasive species of Palmicultor in California is addressed, and new host plant records are reported. Considering the high intraspecific morphological variability within the genus, the molecular markers sequenced here provide a useful tool to confirm species identity during high-risk interceptions of these mealybugs.
