In recent years, due to the rise of emerging marine industries and the state's support for marine technology, many universities in China have added specialties related to marine technology, focusing on cultivating marine technology talents. In contrast, the state does not pay enough attention to the training of marine economic management talents, making such marine talents scarce and the structure of marine talents unbalanced.This paper analyzes the current situation and reasons of the imbalance between supply and demand of marine economic management talents in China, and puts forward specific countermeasures and suggestions on how to develop the marine economy and give play to the subjective initiative of marine technology and marine economic management talents.
